A special visit with family (and bunny ears)

We had a very special trip to Boston last weekend.  Our oldest nephew, Jeff, got married to his long-time girlfriend, Sasha.  Most of Sean’s family – his parents, his oldest brother and father of the groom, Jimmy, brother Brian and wife Stephanie, brother Chris and wife Susan, and sister of the groom, Alexa – were at the celebration with us.

The fall colors were an absolutely beautiful backdrop to the wedding at Longfellow’s Wayside Inn.  A bit of rain greeted us at the picturesque church on Saturday morning, but it didn’t stop Sasha from arriving on a horse-drawn carriage.  After a sweet ceremony (of which, I have to admit, Colin wasn’t all that interested in), we made our way up the road to the inn.  Colin was excited to have a neat place to explore.  In addition to food and dancing, there was a photo booth for all guests to use.  There were fun hats, glasses, and garb to enhance the creative photos.  This was, by far, Colin’s favorite part of the day.  I think he photo-bombed quite a few people in the booth!  Everyone was all dressed up, which is a bit out of the norm for our casual group.  Grandpa and Colin matched with their striped bow ties.  While we were all looking fancy, you couldn’t take the fun away – as you can all see with two separate photos showing smiling people with bunny ears!  Sasha seems like she’s going to fit right in with our family.

At the end of the day, the sun finally shown through the clouds and Jeff and Sasha had a very special day filled with friends and family.
