Colin has been missing a few key pieces from his Angry Birds game for probably a few weeks now. It’s a pretty fun game where you build a tower out of blocks and then launch Angry Birds at the tower to try to knock it down. We haven’t been able to play it, though, because all of the Angry Birds have been missing. It’s been driving me crazy! Colin couldn’t remember where he’d put them and I had absolutely no idea where they were. I checked in all his usual odd hiding spots – many times – with no luck. We had regular conversations about looking for the Angry Birds and if I had found them yet. I was getting angry with those missing little Angry Birds.
For some reason, last night, I decided to dig through a few toy bins that I had already emptied many times in search of the Angry Birds. When I emptied the third bin, I saw a small locked box of Colin’s. Nothing was rattling around in it and it wasn’t any heavier than usual, but I decided to open it. To my absolute shear joy, I found the missing Angry Birds and one of their pig friends crammed in the bottom of the box! My day was done – I had finally completed my biggest accomplishment of the week! I was happy that we could now play Angry Birds again – and I was happy to launch those Angry Birds at the tower that Colin built today.
